In Zapier Lead Router, queues can use two distribution types:
- Strict round robin.
- Weighted round robin.
This article explains the differences between these distribution types.
This product is in closed beta release. It's in active development and may change.
Strict round robin
A strict round-robin distribution ensures incoming leads are distributed evenly among reps. No rep receives a second lead until everyone in the queue has received their first. The cycle then repeats.
This is the default distribution type, used when all reps in the queue have the same value in the Weight column.
Weighted round robin
The weighted round robin allows you to apply different priorities when distributing leads. This means a rep may receive two or more leads before others in the queue receive one.
This distribution type allows you to send fewer leads to a new rep who's still ramping up, for example.
