Facebook Lead Ads and Zapier automate your lead collection and management. The integration is triggered by new leads from a form and can automatically add that lead data to your CRM, email list, or a spreadsheet.

Prerequisites
To use the Facebook Lead Ads app on Zapier, you must have the follow permissions:
- The following permissions:
- Manage Pages.
- Manage Ad Account.
- Leads Access - if Lead Access is customized, make sure to give CRM Access to Zapier.
- You may need to contact the Page Owner or Business Manager admin to request those permissions.
- A paid Zapier account. Facebook Lead Ads is a premium app on Zapier.

Zapier offers two versions of the Facebook Lead Ads app integration on Zapier: one for standard accounts and one for Business Admins. The app you should use depends on the permissions of your Facebook account.

Limitations
- If you update your Facebook Lead Ads permissions, you must reconnect your account to Zapier.
- If your newly created form has not received any submissions yet, you'll see generic data in the Zap editor. To test your Zap, create sample leads using the Facebook Lead Ads testing tool.
Guidance on mapping fields: raw vs regular
When selecting fields to map data to your other apps, you will notice that there are two types of fields available: "raw" and "regular".
The difference between the two is how the data is processed:
- Raw fields: These are unformatted fields, meaning it’s the exact data provided by the Meta API.
- Regular fields: These are formatted fields, meaning they are structured and uniform making them easier to work with.
In this example, you can see there are two fields available to map for an email address.
Both types of fields are valid, and in some cases may be the same, depending on how the user inputted the data.
Zapier recommends using regular fields, to reduce formatting issues once the Zap is live.
