Symptoms
When using Formatter by Zapier’s Utilities action with the transform Line Itemizer (Create/Append/Prepend) in your Zaps, you see the error message “The 'Line-item(s) Group Name' field should only contain text or single values". You’ll see this error when testing your Zap step or in the details of a Zap run in your Zap history.
Causes
This happens when the mapped field used in the Line-item(s) Group Name field contains line items. This field can only support one name for a group.
How to fix it
To fix this:
- Go to your affected Zap and remove the mapped field containing the line items.
- In the Line-item(s) Group Name field, enter a static value or add a mapped field that does not contain line items.
- If you want to transform the previously mapped field, you can convert line items into text strings.
