How to get started with Constant Contact on Zapier

Constant Contact and Zapier connect to automate your email marketing. You can trigger actions when new contacts are added and create contacts from forms or other apps.

Prerequisites

To use the Constant Contact app on Zapier, you must have:

• An active Constant Contact account.
• Administrator privileges.

To create an app connection to Constant Contact on Zapier:

• Go to the Apps page.
• Click + Add connection.
• A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Constant Contact.
• Click Add connection.
• A new browser tab or window will open.
• Log into Constant Contact to authenticate.
• Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.

Your Constant Contact account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Triggers

• New Contact (Polling) - Triggers when a new contact is added to your account.
• New List (Polling) - Triggers when a new list is added.
• New Email Open (Polling) - Triggers when a recipient opens an email from a specified campaign activity.
• New Unsubscriber (Polling) - Triggers when a contact Unsubscribes (Email Unsubscribed).

Searches

• Find or Create Contact - Find Contact by email or create a new one.

Actions

• Add Contact to List - Adds a contact to one or more lists.
• Remove Contact From List - Remove a contact from one or more lists.
• Update Contact - Updates a contact in your account. Empty values will be cleared on the contact. If the contact being updated is deleted, the contact will be revived.
• Create Contact - Creates a contact on a specific list in your account.
• Tag Contact - Add one or more Tags to a Contact.
• API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.

Limitations

• API rate limits apply. Standard API key access is limited to 10,000 requests per day and 4 requests per second, which can impact high-volume automations.
