Cognito Forms and Zapier connect to automate your work. You can trigger actions when new entries are submitted and create or update form entries.
Prerequisites
To use the Cognito Forms app on Zapier, you must have:
- A Cognito Forms Pro plan or higher.
- Organization Owner or Administrator permissions in your Cognito Forms account to authorize the connection to Zapier.
Connect Cognito Forms to Zapier
To create an app connection to Cognito Forms on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Cognito Forms.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into Cognito Forms to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Cognito Forms account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- Delete Entry - Deletes a specified entry.
- Set Form Availability - Sets the availability of a form.

- API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.
Limitations
- While you can send Repeating section and Table field data to other platforms, you cannot create an action to populate or update repeating data in Cognito Forms.
- Cannot update entries with a status of Incomplete or entries with a payment status of Paid.
- API request limits apply: Pro plan (2,000/month), Team plan (10,000/month), Enterprise plan (100,000/month). Large requests over 100KB count as multiple requests.
- Using Zapier to create a new entry in Cognito Forms will trigger any notifications enabled on the form (including email notifications/confirmations) to be sent.
- File attachments sent through Zapier appear listed according to their template ID rather than user-friendly names.
