Thinkific and Zapier connect to automate your online course business. You can trigger actions when students enroll or complete courses and enroll users automatically.
Prerequisites
To use the Thinkific app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Thinkific account.
- Triggers work on all Thinkific plans. However, you need a Thinkific Grow plan or higher subscription for using Zapier Actions.
- Site Admin access or Site Owner permissions in your Thinkific account to authorize the integration.
- The Zapier app installed from the Thinkific App Store before creating Zaps.
Connect Thinkific to Zapier
To create an app connection to Thinkific on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Thinkific.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- In the Subdomain: Enter your Thinkific subdomain. You can find your subdomain in your Thinkific dashboard under Settings Code & analytics API.
- Click Yes, Continue to Thinkific.
- Log into Thinkific to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Thinkific account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.
- Unenroll User - End a student's enrollment in a course or bundle either immediately or at a specified date. Available on our Grow plan and above.
Limitations
- API rate limits of 120 requests per minute for REST API calls, with 429 errors returned when exceeded.
- Custom fields can only be sent out of Thinkific to other applications on initial sign up using the "New User" trigger only, they cannot be sent into Thinkific.
- New Full Enrollment trigger will not run on bundle enrollments, only individual enrollments trigger the automation.
- The New Order trigger will not generate orders for free courses with the two-page checkout, though they do with single-page checkout.
