Microsoft Office 365 and Zapier connect to automate your work. You can trigger actions when new emails arrive or calendar events start and create events or send emails.
Prerequisites
To use the Microsoft Office 365 app on Zapier, you must have:
- A Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise paid account (free personal accounts are not supported).
- Admin access or permission granted by an Admin to use Microsoft Office 365 with Zapier.
Connect Microsoft Office 365 to Zapier
To create an app connection to Office 365 on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Microsoft Office 365.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into Microsoft Office 365 to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Office 365 account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- Find Emails in Specific Folder - Searches for emails within a specific folder rather than across all mailboxes.

- Find Calendar Event - Finds a Calendar Event in your calendar.
- Find Emails - Finds emails based on search criteria.
- Get Calendar Events in Date Range - Retrieves calendar events within a specific date range for reporting and automation.

- Delete Event - Deletes an existing event.
- Update Contact - Updates a contact.
- Create Event - Create an event in the calendar of your choice.
- Create Draft Email - Creates a draft of an email that can then be reviewed and sent out.
- Send Email - Send an email from your Office 365 account.
Limitations
- Microsoft automatically expires refresh tokens if you change or reset your password, do not use the token for 14 days, or after 90 days, requiring reconnection.
- The "Find Contact" action only returns contacts in your "My Contacts" list. Contacts in company shared directories or shared contact groups are not accessible.
- Microsoft Graph API has throttling limits of 10,000 requests per 10 minutes per user per app, with additional service-specific limits that can cause delays or failures.
- If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled in your Microsoft Office 365 account after creating an app connection to Zapier, you may need to reconnect your account again on Zapier.
- All-day events from Microsoft are sent in UTC.
