Voiceflow and Zapier connect to automate AI agent workflows. You can start conversations and make outbound calls when new data appears in apps.
Prerequisites
To use the Voiceflow app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Voiceflow account (free Starter plan or any paid plan).
- Your Voiceflow Project API Key.
- Your Voiceflow Project ID.
- For outbound calling actions: An Agent Phone Number ID.
Connect Voiceflow to Zapier
To create an app connection to Voiceflow on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Voiceflow.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- Voiceflow Project API Key: Enter your Voiceflow Project API Key, which can be found by opening your project from the dashboard, clicking the ⚙️ icon on the sidebar, then selecting API keys. Click the copy button to get your API key.
- Voiceflow Project ID: Enter your Voiceflow Project ID, which is found in the General tab of your project's settings.
- Click Yes, Continue to Voiceflow.
- Your Voiceflow account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- Send Event to Agent - Triggers a custom event in your project.
- Make Outbound Call - Triggers an outbound call by your agent.
- Send Message to Agent - Sends a message to a conversation with an agent. Make sure you've begun the conversation before using this step!
Limitations
- No triggers are currently available on Zapier, however you can use webhooks to trigger Voiceflow events.
- Rate limits apply to API requests, which can result in "Too Many Requests" errors (HTTP 429) when limits are exceeded.
- Voice calls have a maximum duration limit of 30 minutes, after which all calls automatically end.
- Concurrent call limits are restricted based on your workspace's plan, which may limit simultaneous integrations.
- User silence timeout of 3 minutes will automatically end calls.
