Enrichment is a feature in Zapier Tables that lets you use a single prompt to automatically populate multiple fields within a record. You can instruct the AI to generate structured information based on existing data in the table, such as summarizing notes, completing fields in contact details, or categorizing feedback.
This feature is in open beta release. It’s available for use but is still in active development and may change.

Create an enrichment
When you add an enrichment to your table, it will apply to all new records.
To set up an enrichment:
- In the Zapier Tables home, select the table name.
- Click the Enrich button at the bottom of the table. If this is your first enrichment, a sidebar will open.
- Enter your prompt in the text field.
- Click the name of a field in the Insert fields tab to reference it in the prompt.
- Click the Use templates tab to select from ready-made prompts.
- In the Enrich fields section, select the fields you want the AI to populate based on your prompt. You cannot select any fields used in your prompt.
- Add a description for any fields you select. The AI will use the name and description to ensure it generates accurate information.
- Click Save.
Once you save, when a new record is created, active enrichments will run automatically to populate the designated fields.
Enrichments cannot be applied to existing records.
Update the enrichment name
Once you create an enrichment, you can give it a name. This helps you and your team identify and manage it.
- In the Zapier Tables home, select the table name.
- Click the Enrich button at the bottom of the table. A list of existing enrichments will appear.
- Click the current name of your enrichment and type a new name.
- Click outside of the text field to save.
Disable or delete an enrichment
If you no longer need an enrichment, you can disable or delete it. Disabling allows you to use it again in the future.
Disable an enrichment
- In the Zapier Tables home, select the table name.
- Click the Enrich button at the bottom of the table.
- Click the toggle switch off.
Delete an enrichment
- In the Zapier Tables home, select the table name.
- Click the Enrich button at the bottom of the table.
- Click the Delete icon . This action cannot be undone.
Using enriched data in Zaps
To ensure your Zap retrieves enriched data, you must add a Delay by Zapier step and a Zapier Tables search step. As enriched data is generated after record creation, it can take a few moments to generate. Adding these steps ensures your Zap does not miss the enriched information.
- After your Create Record or Update Record action step, click the plus icon + to add a new step in your Zap.
- Search for and select the Delay by Zapier app.
- For the Action Event, choose Delay For and use a short delay, such as one minute. Learn how to set up a Delay for step.
- Click the plus icon + to add another action step.
- Search for and select the Zapier Tables app.
- For the Action Event, choose Find Record.
- In the Search Value field, map the ID of the record from a previous Zapier Tables step. This ensures you retrieve the correct record.
- Test this step to confirm it returns the record with the enriched fields populated.
- You can now map the data from the output of the Find Record step to any subsequent Zap step.
