Amazon Bedrock and Zapier connect to automate AI workflows. You can send prompts to foundation models and generate text responses automatically.
Prerequisites
To use the Amazon Bedrock app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active AWS account with valid payment method.
- AWS IAM credentials (Access Key ID and Secret Access Key) with the appropriate AWS managed policy for your use case.
- Zapier recommends to create a new user in the IAM console.
- Access to foundation models must be request and approved through the Amazon Bedrock console. Access is not granted by default.
- The Amazon Bedrock service must be available in your chosen AWS region.
Connect Amazon Bedrock to Zapier
Find your Amazon Bedrock credentials
To find your AWS access key ID and secret access key, follow's Amazon's Bedrock API key instructions.
Connect to Amazon Bedrock on Zapier
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Amazon Bedrock.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- AWS Access Key ID: Enter your Access Key ID.
- AWS Secret Access Key: Enter your Secret Access Key.
- AWS Region: Select your AWS region (e.g., us-east-1).
- Click Yes, Continue to Amazon Bedrock.
- Your Amazon Bedrock account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- Model access must be explicitly requested and granted through the Amazon Bedrock console before models can be used via API. Access is not granted by default.
- Token usage quotas apply with varying limits per model and region.
- Amazon Bedrock is only available in specific AWS regions and model availability varies by region.
- API rate limits apply with specific quotas for different operations (e.g., maximum requests per second for various API calls).
- Maximum input/output token limits vary by model. Each foundation model has specific context length and token limitations.
