Chargebee and Zapier connect to automate subscription billing. You can trigger actions when new subscriptions or payments occur and create customers or update billing details.
Prerequisites
To use the Chargebee app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Chargebee account.
Connect Chargebee to Zapier
To create an app connection to Chargebee on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Chargebee.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- Site Name: Enter your Chargebee site name.

API Key: Enter your Chargebee API key.
- Learn more about finding your Chargebee API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to Chargebee.
Your Chargebee account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- API rate limits apply based on your Chargebee plan. Starter plan: 150 requests/minute, Performance: 1000 requests/minute, Enterprise: 3500 requests/minute (default). When limits are exceeded, HTTP 429 errors are returned and requests are blocked until limits reset.
- You need separate API keys for test and production environments, and they cannot be used interchangeably.
