Instabase and Zapier connect to automate document processing. You can trigger workflows from conversations and ask questions about documents.
Prerequisites
To use the Instabase app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active Instabase AI Hub account. Availability on all plan tiers.
Connect Instabase to Zapier
To create an app connection to Instabase on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Instabase.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:

API Key: Enter your Instabase OAuth token.
- Learn more about creating an Instabase token.
- (Optional) IB-Context: Enter your user ID (for community accounts) or organization ID (for organization accounts).
- Learn more about finding your Instabase user or organization ID.

- Click Yes, Continue to Instabase.
Your Instabase account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- File limitations and processing applies. Single files are limited to 50 MB or 800 pages, with total single-upload size capped at 100 MB. Complex or dense documents may fail before reaching these limits due to processing constraints. Conversations and chatbots support about 500 files, automation projects support 500 files, and automation app runs support 1,000 files, depending on content complexity.
- Limited to specific file formats including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, images, and others. Unsupported formats will be rejected.
- API rate limits apply.
