ShipStation and Zapier connect to automate your shipping workflow. You can trigger actions when new orders arrive and create orders from other apps.
Prerequisites
To use the ShipStation app on Zapier, you must have:
- An active ShipStation account with a Scale-Gold (for US or CA) or Accelerate (for UK, AU, NZ, EU) plan or higher.
- For ShipStation plans lower than Scale-Gold or Accelerate, you will need the ShipStation Inventory API Add-On.
- A manual store set up in ShipStation if you plan to create orders through Zapier.
Connect ShipStation to Zapier
- To create an app connection to ShipStation on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select ShipStation.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- Complete the following fields:
- API Key: Enter your ShipStation API Key.
- API Secret: Enter your ShipStation API Secret.
- To find your API Key and Secret, refer to ShipStation's instructions.
- Click Yes, Continue to ShipStation.
- Your ShipStation account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- New Order (Instant) - Triggers when a new Order is created or imported in ShipStation.
- Item Shipped (Instant) - Triggers for each individual line item when a new outbound shipping label is created for an order.
- Order Shipped (Instant) - Triggers when a new outbound shipping label is created for an order.
Searches
- No search actions were found for ShipStation.
Actions
- Create Order - Creates a new order.
- API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.
Limitations
- ShipStation allows up to 200 requests per minute by default. Accounts exceeding this limit will receive 429 Too Many Requests error responses.
